I have been camping, RVing, boating and participating in watersports for over 30 years! My father would take us out on the boat in the San Joaquin Delta in Northern California. My sister and BIL also had boats and RVs and that is where I learned to waterski and all about driving, docking, launching, retrieving, and towing. They gave me an opportunity at a very young age to learn. I have been a RVer since 2005 but have grown up with camping and RVs in my family since I was a child. We started out tent camping in an old canvas tent in the Northern California coastal areas. After many rainy campouts, my parents bought their first Aljo travel trailer and joined the Marlin Jones Trailer Club and we were all hooked! That trailer had a hand pump water faucet, propane gas lights and 12 volt electricity without hookups. We all thought that it was wonderful after being in a cold and damp tent!
I was taught that you could fix things on your own or at least try and if you weren't successful, you could start the project and always have someone else with more expertise finish it if you got stuck. That has been my mantra and has enabled me to continue to enjoy these hobbies and save money. The internet provides some wonderful resources and there are a lot of "experts" out there.
Hi Hilary, did you get this?
